Common Sense Media Statement on the Passage of the KIDS Act
San Francisco, June 29, 2026 — Common Sense Media Chief Advocacy Officer, Danny Weiss issued the following statement on the passage of the KIDS Act :
"Common Sense Media, the leading non-profit organization committed to protecting and preparing kids and teens in the digital and AI world, is disappointed that the KIDS Act, as written, was approved by the House today. But we look forward to working with the leadership of the House and the Senate to make sure that if and when there is a final word from Congress this year on kids' online safety issues it will be loud, strong, and offer the safety and security kids, teens and their families desperately need from the risks that social media and AI platforms pose."
